In this fast paced era of modern technology, life has become fast paced too. Kids of today's world are more capable enough to learn and experiment new things and they have got more access towards knowledge in various forms. With the huge changes in lifestyles, few things still remain the same. The topic that I want to highlight here is "The Role of Grand parents in the kid's life". Grand parents are one of greatest blessings of Almighty Allah.
Importance of Grand parents
Their importance in the child's life is phenomenal. They have got great impact on the personality and character building of kids. They inspire their younger generation in tremendous amount of ways.
According to research, one important way of learning is the influence of someone with more experience. The Grand parents have great experiences and much deeper understanding of the ups and downs of life. They can become the greatest inspirations and biggest Role models for their kids. They can share their interesting stories and life long experiences with the kids. Even research has shown that the kids who have lived with their grand parents are more into forgiveness, patience, compromise, gratefulness and many more positive characteristics.
One important factor is Sense of Security. Nowadays in few houses, both men and women are working figures. It is difficult for them to manage their tough schedules so they take their small children to day care centers in their working hours. Incase the kids are small and grand parents are living with them, the kids can easily stay with them. Kids feel more sense of safety and security with their grand parents and they provide genuine care and love to their own children.
If there is some unpleasant situation or quarrel going on at home, the grand parents are always willing to provide a helping hand and they have got a solution for almost every problem, this automatically reduces the stress level of the people living with them. Their prayers are a great source of happiness.
Michel de Montaigne once said, “Saying is one thing and doing is another. "As actions speak louder than the words, So kids always follow the actions of their elders. When they see their own parents giving respect and care to their parents, they become obedient and respectful in return. Kids are the reflection of their parents.
Lastly, it would be sadly to say that we are following the western culture, and now there are old homes in all countries. We need to tell our kids ,they must give respect to their grand parents, realize their importance and learn a lot from their life long experiences. Blessed and lucky are those who have this great blessing of Almighty Allah.
